Will you be happy with your fence if you contract Hamilton Fence to build it? The answer is probably yes. As I said before, we love the fence. The end result is beautiful and we are happy with how it turned out. However... For us, issues arose once the job was done. Clean up was nothing short of atrocious. Broken panels from the removed fence (most with stray nails in them), and mounds of dirt, mud, and cement mix were left all over the place. In all, there was apparently zero effort to return our lawn or backyard area back to the condition in which they found it. Pavers were removed and not replaced, water bottles, dug-up bricks and plastic utensils left astray, and nails and wood chips were all over the place. And with torrential downpours over the past few days, our once healthy lawn that kept its green through the winter months is now permeated with cement-laced mud and our driveway slicked with gray muck which has inevitably found its way into our house. All because, after 5 days of fence installation, they couldn't take an extra 43 minutes and 12 seconds to grab a shovel and clean up their mess. Communication prior to booking and after payment of the balance was also unsatisfactory. During or after the job, we received no calls to address neither the extended installation timeline (6 days total, for 2 of which it rained) nor what happened to the rest of the "crew" assigned to our project. Granted, having a one-person crew did not bother us at all since we were not in a hurry, the workmanship was good, and progress was still being made daily. But all of these factors (in addition to unreturned phone calls about the mess) all point in the same conclusion: communication and overall professionalism still go a long way towards customer satisfaction. A good product is not always enough.
